On an annual basis, the Wildlands Conservation Trust organises a series of conservation challenges and fundraising events which contribute towards the Trust's activities. Over the last ten years, events such as the Giants Castle MTB Challenge and Mont-Aux-Sources Run Challenge have raised substantial amounts to support conservation initiatives within the KwaZulu-Natal region.
Recently The Didima Xtreme Challenge and the Sterling Powerade Imfolozi MTB Challenge have also served to generate much needed funding and profiling of conservation and community projects in the province.
The series of events has grown substantially to a point where the Trust now organises 11 events. These events are all managed and organised under the Wild Series banner, in partnership with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, to profile the spectacular beauty of the provinces protected area network and to raise funds for conservation.
The Wild Series showcases a broad range of Multisport activities with events that range from Mountain Bike rides, Triathlons, Road Cycle races, Trail Running, Off-Road Triathlons and an open water swim event.
The Bonitas Sunday Tribune
Capital K is last of the Bonitas Wildseries Events and funds raised by this event will go towards supporting projects such as the Trust's Indigenous Trees for Life Project in Table Mountain, outside PMB.
This Programme helps provide a sustainable livelihood to disadvantaged children and families around KZN by teaching them to grow indigenous trees which they then sell or barter providing an income and much needed food, household necessities, clothes and even bicycles!
Your support of this and other Wild Series events will help change the lives of these people and ensure the conservation of KZN's precious bio-diversity.
